I've personally used smartsheet to manage a group teaching schedule...what I liked about it was that I set it up to automatically email the latest copy of the schedule to attendess of the class. Moreover, I invited instructors to co-edit the spreadsheet. We all had access to one app that kept everyone informed...that was simple! Because Smartsheet is online, you get all of collaboration advantages, but it goes beyond regular online spreadsheets to add in some really smart features that relate to the common use of spreadsheets--like project management features. And it solves some of the key problems--like permissioning sections to separate data input from private analyses. Smartsheet is truly a smart spreadsheet with unlimited use cases.
